On Thursday morning, the Sattahip Police Investigation Inspector Pol. Capt. Ekachai Moonlee were called to investigate the death of a fisherman found on the boat Mongkon Samut 5. The Sawang Jote- Jana Tamma Satan Rescue Team came to assist, and at the scene, inside the boat which was moored at the pier, they found the body of Mr. Prasong, aged 45, the chief navigator of the vessel. He was dressed in green fisherman’s trousers with no shirt. There was no foul play to be seen, so the body was taken to a Hospital by the rescue team for Verification of Death.
One of the navigators, Mr. Prajuab Janpet, aged 60, stated that Mr. Prasong complained about feeling very weak after the boat returned from fishing the previous evening. Mr. Prasong offered to sleep on the boat to guard it, and was discovered dead the next morning. Further investigations will continue, but it is assumed that he died from some kind of disease.
