On Saturday evening, the Sawang Boriboon Sea Rescue was called for assistance with an accident in the ocean. A tourists squid fishing boat had sunk near Nok Island, and 3 of the tourists were still floating in the water, waiting for rescue. The Rescue Boat and 3 rubber rafts were sent to rescue the 3 tourists by the Department of Safety and Security of Pattaya. Mr. Sanit Boonmachai went along to investigate the incident, and it took about 20 minutes to finally rescue the very wet tourists.
The 3 Thai tourists age 32- 36 were quite frightened by the incident and stated that the boat was hit by a very large wave, causing it to capsize. They had never experienced a wave of this size before, but fortunately, they all were wearing life jackets.
