Saturday night on Pattaya Beach saw the biggest International Fireworks Competition yet. It was the 2nd and last night of this fifth yearly competition, with a prize awarded to the winning country from the past 4 years. The contest also honored the king on the occasion of 84th Birthday.
 
9 Countries, Denmark, Germany, Italy, America, Australia, China, Japan, the UAE and Thailand joined this competition, and the winner this year was America, with an outstanding pyrotechnical performance.

The highlight of the evening was the 7 simultaneous rockets of 24 inch fireworks, which spanned 3 km of the beachfront. This amazing display in the sky  was dedicated to HM the King, and certainly showed the prospects of Pattaya city and Thailand to the world.
