On Sunday night, the Banglamung Police Inspector Pol. Lt. Chalermpon Buntawan were asked to investigate the death of a woman in her rented room, in an apartment in Soi Potisarn 12, Naklua. The Sawang Boriboon Rescue Team also came to assist, and at the scene, the dead woman was found in her rented room on 2nd floor, after the Sawang Boriboon broke the front door lock, as it was locked from the inside. The body of Miss Rung-na-pa Sa-mat-ta-pa-pong, aged 41 from Nakhon-patom province was found on the floor near the bathroom, wearing a swim suit and partly covered with a towel.
Her head was cut and her body was decomposing, and she was assumed to be dead for 3 – 4 days. There was no foul play evident in the room.
The apartment owner Mr. Chumpon Jantopart, aged 56 stated that she started renting this room about 10 days prior to her death. She always left the room in the middle of the night, coming back late in the morning, but no one had asked her about her routine. Then a strong bad odor started coming out of her room. The primary assumption is that she might have slipped and hit her head on the floor, causing her death. Further investigations will continue.
