On Wednesday before dawn, the Nongkahm Police Investigating Inspector Pol. Lt. Col. Somchai Tansirisuk were called by a Burmese man called Naai Muhammad, age 33, to inform them that his friend had just been shot point blank after being chased by 2 Cambodian drug dealers.
The police team under the supervision of the Nongkahm Police Superintendent Pol. Col. Wittaya See-pra-sert-parb came to investigate, and found the body of Mr. Piwbai, age 29, from Burma, who worked as a roti pancake vender. The unfortunate fellow had been shot, and his brains and blood were spread all over the ground.
A picture of a woman was in a wallet which was dropped near his body, and Mr. Naai stated that they were riding a gray Honda motorcycle to visit their relatives in Sahapat Industrial Estate, but they ran into a group of 5 Cambodian drugs dealers who always accused them of being spies for the police.
They were being chased by the Cambodian dealers, so they decided to drop the motorcycle and try to escape separately. Mr. Piwbai happened to fall over while running away from the Cambodians, and was shot point blank by these thugs.
Further investigations will be made, and the body of Mr. Piwbai was sent for Verification of Death to Ao-u-dom Hospital.
