A gunman shot and killed a member of the Surasak Municipality Council, Mr. Wirat Sab-am-nuay-suk, aged 57. He was drinking with his friends at the back of his house on Tuesday just after midnight, when 2 bullets were fired through his chest, and came out his back. Mr. Wirat died at Phyathai Hospital in Sriracha. and the Sriracha Police Inspector Pol. Lt. Tongchai Chukaew was reported to investigate this incident.
At the hospital, the family of Mr. Wirat were gathered in sorrow, and one of his friends Mr. Jaturong Jittin, aged 42, stated that the gathering was with 5 friends including the deceased, Mr. Wirat. Around midnight, a man wearing a hat walked toward the group and stopped about 8 meters away, and with no warning, he pulled out a gun and shot Mr. Wirat 2 times, before disappearing on a motorcycle.
No one recognized the face of the gunman, and there was no reason the friends and family of Mr. Wirat could think of to motivate this murder. Mr. Wirat had been known as a good and honest man by everyone, so more investigations will be made. News stories placed on this website are short versions.
