Thursday, the Laem Chabang Municipality started its Rabies Vaccination Day to prevent Rabies infections in pets. Even though there were only 5 deaths due to Rabies in 2011, statistics still indicate that the pets are still at risk for this disease, and if they are contaminated, they will become sick and die.
The Rabies Virus spreads especially in the hot weather, and summer is fast approaching. The Vaccination Day was opened by the Deputy Mayor of Laem Chabang Mr. Tanee Kiat-pi-pat-ta-na-goon, and in addition to administering the vaccines at the municipality’s center, community teams will be sent out to visit all 23 communities of Laem Chabang, to give the vaccines to the pets, as well as the usual routines of delivering birth control and pest control for the pets, and educating the people on the care of their pets.
