A press conference was held on Tuesday at the Police Department Region 2 by the Commissioner of Royal Thai Police, Region 2, Pol. Lt. Gen. Dr. Panya Mamen. The conference publicized the arrest of the killer of 5 people, murders that happened in the past week, committed by Mr. Weera Wao-jahng-reed, aged 26 from Sa-kaew province. He killed a male nurse in Khao-cha-gahn Hospital, and 4 women at a karaoke in Sa-kaew province the same day. The culprit has hidden in Sa-kaew province, until he was apprehended with a 9 mm gun and 31 bullets.

Mr. Weera stated without regret that, while he was drunk, he beat his wife until she badly needed medical attention. Therefore he took her to Khao-cha-gahn Hospital, a local hospital, where a male nurse started asking too many questions. The questions drove him up a wall, as he was intoxicated, so He shot the male nurse point blank and drove off .

Mr. Weera denied the charges of murdering the other 4 women at the Karaoke and referred to a Cambodian man called Mr. Ngaed, who he claimed borrowed his gun to kill all of them. Further investigations continue.
