Right after midnight on Tuesday, the Pattaya Police Suppressing Inspector Pol. Capt. Somchai Chai-ka-na-nu-goon were called for help by a lady who owns a house in Soi Tappraya 9. She stated that the neighbors had just apprehended a burglar, but another one had fled the scene. At the 2 storey single house, the neighbors handed over Mr. Suriyahn Porlu, aged 32, who was nabbed while trying to break into the house of Miss Foen, aged 35. The burglar comes from the Musser tribe, which lives on the high mountains of Northern Thailand.
Miss Foen stated that she and her foreign boyfriend were coming into the house after a party, and discovered that the door was open. They spotted 2 burglars going through their belongings, who then tried to run away.
The couple shouted for help, and Mr. Suriyan was successfully detained. Miss Foen confirmed that her house has been broken into 3 times in the recent past. Mr. Suriyan had just been released from jail 1 day prior to his attempted robbery, and has been charged with many petty criminal offences in his past.
