The Commissioner of the Royal Thai Police Bureau Region 2 Pol. Lt. Gen. Dr. Panya Mamen, held a press conference was held on Wednesday in companied by the Chonburi Commander Pol. Maj. Gen. Jamnong Rattagoon, the Pattaya Police Superintendent Pol. Col. Nantawut Suwanlaong and the Investigating and Suppressing Team of Pattaya Police Station to publicize the success in arresting Mr. Ronachai Krong-yu-ti, aged 36.  An Electrical Engineer from Nong-bua-lam-pu province, he had recently transformed into a Marihuana Delivery man.  When the police successfully apprehended him in Soi Chaiyapreuk 1 after chasing him from the heart of the city, the officers discovered 100 packs of compressed Marijuana, weighing about 100 kilos.

When the police received information about this drug trade, they were instructed to look for a gray Honda Jazz and finally, this car was spotted in the area. The police stopped the car, but Mr. Ronachai drove away. He was finally caught when he drove into a dead end soi off Chayapruek 1, as he was not familiar with the neighborhood.

The marihuana was hidden underneath the seat of the car, and Mr. Ronachai confessed that he was hired by Mr. Taworn Pu-nam-tao for 20,000 Baht, to drive this Honda Jazz from Sakon Nakhon province and deliver this stash of weed to a customer in Pattaya. Mr. Taworn actually followed Mr. Ronachai all the way from Sakhun Nakorn to Pattaya in his black Isuzu, but he fled the scene when the police stopped Mr. Ronachai for searching.

An Arrest Warrant will be issued by Pattaya Court to arrest Mr. Taworn, and the Pattaya Police will continue with more investigations to locate the rest of this gang. Out of the country, this quantity of weed could be worth up to 18 million baht, so the Royal Thai Police will do everything to stop these drugs coming in and out the country.
