A press conference was held by the Commissioner of Royal Thai Police Bureau Region 2 Pol. Lt. Gen. Dr. Panya Mamen, to publicize the arrest of the Murderer who raped and killed Miss. Weerawan Pat-gaew, aged 24. The unfortunate lady was a nurse’s aide at Ban Chang Hospital, in Rayong in October 2011, when the murder occurred.  The killer was Mr. Jakrapan Pu-reuang, aged 21 from Sukhothai province.

Mr. Jakrapan confessed that he was drunk that night before committing the crime.  He had been drinking with his friends before taking off, walking along a dark road not far from Ban Chang Hospital. He was heading back to the construction site camp where he stayed and worked. Just before midnight as Miss Weerawan was walking from her room to the hospital, to work the Midnight Shift, he attacked her, using his hands to block her breathing until she passed out. This thug then took her purse and walked away.

But not content with merely robbing the poor lady, this creep went back to rape the victim, and then decided to kill her, by beating and strangling her to death. Her body was found battered and full of bruises. Her lips were bitten, leaving an open wound. She had been strangled with her t-shirt, and her hands were tied up with her own sports pants. She was raped and killed awfully about 500 meters from the hospital.

The murderer Mr. Jakrapan has been sent for prosecution, and justice will be served for the sake of all humanity’s rights to survive and be safe.
