On Saturday, 47 Chinese tourists entered the Pattaya Police Station to file complaints against a group of 7-8 Thai men. Egged on by Mr. Pu and Mr. Sak, this gang assaulted 3 male tourists, one who was 66 years old, and another one who was disabled. The incident happened on Lan Island, where the tourists went to enjoy their holiday. The tussle happened when one tourist, called Mr. Kwaang, went out for a swim. Both he and all the tourists from China were following the instructions of their lady tour guide, Miss Kanjana Sae-jiang, aged 32.
While Mr. Kwaang was swimming, Mr. Pu approached him and slowly tried to force Mr. Kwaang to put on a life jacket. Mr. Kwaang refused and tried to walk away, but Mr. Pu kept trying to force the jacket on to Mr. Kwaang. Finally, Mr. Pu lost his temper and kicked Mr. Kwaang, even though Mr. Kwaang is disabled due to Polio.
Mr. Kwaang called for help from the Chinese tourists, while Mr. Pu called for his backup, which was led by Mr. Sak. The 2 groups of men fell into a real donnybrook, until the guide finally managed to stop the fight.
Pattaya Police Superintendent, Pol. Col. Nantawut Suwanlaong and the 2 Deputy Superintendents Pok. Lt. Col. Ratta and Pol. Lt. Col. Grisana received the complaints in person, when the incident was brought to the attention of the Pattaya Police. The Chinese tourists also accused the Thai men of going through Mr. Kwaang’s bag, and swiping 1,500 Baht, so further investigations proceeded immediately. The police discovered that Mr. Pu is a drug addict, and the rest of his thugs will be located for legal proceedings.
