Right after midnight on Sunday, the Banglamung Police Investigating Inspector Pol. Lt. Col. Tanadet Duang-ta-pi-ya-chai were called to investigate a shooting in Soi Nong-gade yai 3, where the man who had been shot was in a coma. Witnesses had already sent him to Bangkok Hospital Patttaya.
At the scene, Mr. Song, aged 26 was safe, and stated that he was driving his motorcycle with Mr. Anuwat Nin-po-tong, aged 25 as the passenger. This man is called “U Naklua” by the hard-hitting gangs in the area. While they were passing through a dark street, with trees and bushes along both sides of this road, a hail of bullets were fired at them from one side, and he lost control of his motorcycle, causing it to fall over. He and Mr. Anuwat then ran for their very lives, and then got separated. A bit later, after the gun shots ceased, he found Mr. Anuwat shot 5-6 times right in his chest. Further investigations continue, and the hospital reported to the police that Mr. Anuwat died at the hospital that same night.
