Banglamung police were called on Sunday afternoon by the Sawang Boriboon Rescue Team, to investigate the shooting of a man at a local noodle shop. The man, the owner of the store, was 44 year old Mr. Watanyu, who was found with a bullet wound to his chest. He had already been taken to the local hospital but died shortly after arrival. At the shop, police saw blood stains on the bathroom floor and two spent bullet cartridges. Also at the scene was the man’s wife Mrs. Jidapa who was too shocked to make a statement. According to a young man working at the shop, he heard the daughter, who was at the hospital, shouting that her father had been shot. On searching the room, officers found the man had packed a suitcase with his clothes, and they assumed that the incident occurred after a domestic fight. It is unclear if the man shot himself or was attacked by another person. The case continues.
