At Utapao International Airport, Khun Bhi-boon-rat Bhi-boon-sa-wat, Khun Chandra-sreth Sradhnachai, 2 executives from Lunar Air took a group of local operators of tourist and media businesses on a charter flight to Ranong Province. The flight was to promote the new Lunar airline which promises privacy and convenience during the trip in their 18 seat planes. The flight took off from Utapao International Airport and landed at Ranong Airport, taking about 50 minutes. Ranong is one of Thailand's southern provinces located on the west coast along the Andaman Sea, and has the fewest inhabitants of any Thai provinces.
The airline hopes to accommodate tourists who want privacy, as well as allow small groups to travel without wasting time making many transfers, because their planes can land at tourist destinations with small airports. The visitors were taken to tour many beautiful tourist attractions in Ranong, and to visit different airports such as Chumporn Airport, and Hua Hin Airport, to study the possibility of additional services for tourists. The visitors received good cooperation from the local executives and the tourism operators, and all related individuals and agencies convened to discuss tourist promotions for each province. Hopefully, these flights will help create a busy tourist industry in the future.
