As a result of many complaints from tourists, Pattaya Tourist Police made an announcement on Tuesday evening about the arrest of a number of street vendors and beggars operating along Pattaya Beach Road.  A total of 16 Cambodian beggars, including children aged between 3 and 6 years old, plus 17 Thai illegal street vendors were rounded up and taken back to the station for processing.  The hunt is now on for the people behind the swell in beggars into the city, gang leaders who operate human trafficking especially from Cambodia.
