On Wednesday morning, Mr. Udom aged 30 was not a lucky man, as he was arrested by Banglamung police at a road block, with a non licensed motorcycle. The real cause of the arrest was that he was the main suspect in a purse snatching incident earlier near the railway station. Even though there was no evidence, he finally confessed to the crime. Being jobless, he was too tempted when he saw the woman’s purse dangling from the handlebars of her bike. He stated that he threw the purse away when he was being pursued by patrol officers. He was sent for legal proceedings and a hunt is now on to find the stolen purse.
