On Thursday at 1:30 am, the Pattaya Police Investigating Inspector Pol. Lt. Col. Anuchet Gardsomboon were called to investigate the death of Mr. Paul Henry Lynch, aged 48 from Ireland. He was found deceased from mysterious causes in his room at the Eastiny Hotel in Pattaya Soi 7.
The Sawang Boriboon Rescue Team was also called for assistance, and they discovered the body in a room on floor 6 of the hotel. The deceased man was found wearing a black t-shirt and a pair of black jeans. The body was lying on the floor, on his stomach, at the end of the bed, and his mouth and nose were covered by fresh blood. There was no evidence of foul play and no clue of any harm to his body.
A friend of Mr. Paul stated that they had just arrived Pattaya, and planned to go out to enjoy the nightlife. However, Mr. Paul did not answer his door when the friend knocked, to see if Mr. Paul was ready. A spare key was used to open the door by hotel staff, and then his untimely death was discovered. The body was estimated to be dead for around 6 hours. Mr. Paul’s body was sent for an autopsy, and further investigations will be made when the autopsy result is known.
