On Saturday afternoon at Bali Hai Pier, the Harbor Department held a Rescue Training Program in cooperation with the Institute of Medical Teams for Emergency and the Sawang Boriboon Rescue Team. The Harbor Department’s aim was to train all volunteers and staff of the Sawang Boriboon to handle any accidents on the water. A mock boat accident was set up in the bay, enacting 2 tourist speed boats crashing into each other, with the visitors falling into the drink.

The importance of immediate and correct communication was emphasized for all kinds of emergencies.  In this instance, the trainees handled the situation very well by contacting the Sawang Boriboon Rescue Team and then the Institute of Medical Teams for Emergency, as well as other authorities.
