On Saturday night, the Pattaya Police Investigating Inspector Pol. Capt. Pitak Nern-saeng were informed of a fight at the Classic Karaoke bar, on South Pattaya Road, where many people had been injured.
The Sawang Boriboon Rescue Team was also summoned for assistance, and at the scene of the brawl, the medics found 3 injured men, Mr. Pongsakorn Lapi, aged 22, who had been slashed with a knife on his back and head, Mr. Apichai Su-wa-ra-pi-luck, aged 18, who was also lacerated on his back and the right side of his body, and Mr. Preecha Chaiyating, aged 24, who was severely sliced on both of his arms, severing his tendons, and also suffered cuts to his knee.
All the injured were given first aid, and then taken to Banglamung Hospital. The officers began their investigation, and witnesses reported that a Mr. Pongsakorn has started working in this Karaoke 2 weeks ago. He and 2 co-workers were sitting in the pub, when over 10 teenagers approached the karaoke on many motorcycles. The thuggish teens stopped their bikes, walked into the karaoke with Spartan knives in their hands, and commenced attacking Mr. Pongsatorn and his group, before running away. Spartan Blades advertise themselves as “Knives with Intent”, and you have to wonder, is this what the knives are intended for? Further investigations will continue, and the primary assumption of the police is that this attack was caused by a personal or love issue, as usual.
