At 1:30 am on Thursday, while the Pattaya Police led by the Suppression Inspector Pol. Lt. Col. Kittitat Ganchai were patrolling Pratamnak Hill, they were called to investigate a purse Snatching in Soi 6 of Pratamnak Hill. At the scene, Mr. Wiriya Bunmachai, aged 19, had been already apprehended by the locals with a black purse containing 1,000 Baht and foreign currency. Mrs. Irina Fionina, aged 29 from Russia, was also there, and indentified the teenager as the snatcher.

Mr. Wiriya snatched her purse while she was walking to her hotel, and he pitifully claimed that he needed the money to pay his rent, and it was his 1st crime. He was taken to Pattaya Police Station for legal proceedings and further investigations.
