Sea Garuda: Joint Exercise of Royal Thai and Malaysian Navies
On Thursday at the Diana Resort Pattaya, the Deputy Commander of the Frigate 1 Vessel of the Royal Thai Navy, Navy Capt. Nikit Teekayod, signed a Memo Of Understanding with Navy Capt. Ann Kernia from Malaysian Navy for a joint naval exercise called Sea Garuda. Naval officers from the 2 countries will be sent to train together, and exchange experiences, strategies and thoughts, to forge a strong bond between the 2 countries. The evaluation of the results of this upcoming exercise will be reviewed at the next General Meeting in Indonesia, in September 2014, when the navies will update the regulations to be suitable for futures situations and trainings.
