A suspect drug courier was arrested at a road checkpoint in Chonburi in the early hours of Friday morning.  Miss Ratanaporn aged 33 was travelling in a Bangkok taxi and was almost at her destination when the taxi driver was asked to pull over for a search.  The woman was found in possession of 160 grams of crystal meths, with a street value of 300,000 baht.  She was arrested and taken to the local police station for questioning.  It was revealed that she had a previous conviction for selling yaba and had served 5 years in prison.  She was released 2 years ago but went back to her previous occupation of being a drug courier, being paid 2,000 baht a time to deliver drugs to customers in Chonburi and Rayong.  She is now helping police with their inquiries.
