Deputy Mayor Ronnakit Aegasing chaired a meeting at City Hall on Friday regarding the problems with beggars and illegal street vendors operating along Beach Road and Walking Street. With the constant complaints received from tourists, he promised to tighten security and get more police patrols out in the areas to clear them of unwanted vagrants and beggar gangs, which is giving Pattaya a bad reputation.
