Due to the increase in the number of accidents that have occurred as a result of motorists driving in the wrong direction along the highways of Chonburi, police have issued a warning that as of Wednesday 4th April, a new pilot penalty scheme will be set up at main u-turns with signs warning people that driving in the wrong direction will result in a fine of between 2,000 and 10,000 baht and/or imprisonment of up to 3 months.
