On Sunday at the Pin Jaem Wichasorn School, the Huay yai Municipality held a meeting that was chaired by its Mayor Mr. Pairat Trai-su-pa-choke. He came to address the people who may be affected by the new route 7 extension from Pattaya to Mabtaput, which has been finalized to pass by the Mabprachan reservoir, Pong, Banglamung, Huay Yai, Baan Chark ngaew, She Jaan Mountain, Utapao, Banchang and end in Mabtaput.

Route 7 is under the supervision of the National Highway Department, and this meeting focused on explaining the restitution which the residents will receive for any property that will be taken by this extension. There will be additional meetings to discuss the restitutions, and the new highway will start construction in 2013.
