Sriracha Public Health Begins Dengue Fever Prevention
On Tuesday the Chief of Sriracha’s Public Health Department, Mr. Sahapume Dettanapirom started a campaign to call for the prevention of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever. The officials walked through the neighborhoods to encourage everyone to consider this disease a serious matter. Statistics reveal that the occurance of Dengue fever patients in Thailand, over the past year, showed that Sriracha was the leader in the country, with 65 dengue fever infected patients. The 8 sub-districts were also educated on prevention, and this year, the Sriracha Public Health hopes to reduce this statistic of patients with Dengue Fever. This disease can be prevented by destroying all still water spots where mosquitoes can lay their eggs, especially around the homes and villages, so everyone is urged to cooperate with the Public Health Department.
