On Monday, Sattahip Police Superintendent Pol. Col. Somchai Suntawanick and the Investigating and Suppressing Teams held a press conference to announce the arrest of Mr. Pailaht Yom-ha, aged 37 from Rayong, for Class 1 (Yah Bah) Drug Possession for Sale. He was detained with 1,800 tabs after the police received information about a drug deal scheduled to take place at a bus stop on Sukhumvit Road in the Sattahip area.
The police surrounded the area until Mr. Pailaht got out of a Bangkok to Rayong Bus with a back pack. The police identified themselves, searched him and found the 1,800 tabs of Yah Bah, which was in 9 bags of 200 tabs each.
Mr. Pailaht confessed that he turned from a farm worker to a drug trafficker after he learnt from a prisoner, while he was in jail too in Klong-pai Prison, how remunerative drug dealing can be. He was hoping to make some money to get his mother a new house. The purchase price for Methamphetamines was 20,000 Baht, and he could turn it over for around 23,000-25,000 Baht.
