On Thursday at Suttawart Temple, Head Monk Prakru-wi-jid-taam-ma-sarn held a Brahman Ceremony to permit women and girls to stay as hermits at the temple. This allows women who wish to clear their minds and hearts by strictly following the 8 precepts of Lord Buddha, to stay temporarily at the temple, where they will meditate and obtain merit for their future lives. 84 women signed up for this retreat, and the teachings started right after the ceremony was completed, with all the ladies hoping to learn to purify their words, thoughts and deeds.
