On Sunday, the Sriracha Police Inspector Pol. Capt. Tienchai Meuang-jaam-nong were called to investigate the Attempted Suicide of an unknown Japanese expat. He had apparently jumped from the 13th Floor of Sriracha Place Condominium, and at the scene, the Japanese man, aged around 45 and wearing a blue t-shirt and blue trousers was found lying on the awning of a 3rd Floor condo, with weak vital signs and multiple fractures.
The Medical Team of Samitiwaje Hospital was called to save his life, but the resuscitation failed and he died during the transfer to the hospital. There was no document to identify his name, only pieces of a torn letter with writing in Japanese assumed to be his hand writing.
Residents of Sriracha Place Condominium stated that he had been living in this condominium while working in manufacturing at the Sriracha Industrial Estate before the Mega Flood of 2011. After the flood, the factory closed down, so he took his wife back to Japan before returning alone, and then started drinking heavily. The residents saw him quite intoxicated on the last day of his life. This incident is assumed to be a suicide, but further investigations will be made to determine the cause of his fall.
