At 4 am on Sunday, the Pattaya Police led by Deputy Suppressing Inspector Pol. Capt. Netitorn Ra-ta-na-su-cha-nan commenced a Patrol on Pattaya Beach Road from the Dolphin Roundabout to Walking Street. The officers walked this beat to maintain peace in the area and to apprehend any ladyboys and prostitutes. Over 50 ladyboys were apprehended for wandering around the beach, intending to solicit for sexual favors. in Ladyboys are one of the main groups of criminals in Pattaya, and as Songkran is approaching, and crime rates always increase during the big festivals, this mission was done to warn them to stay in line during the festivities. They were fined 100 baht each and warned to behave, before being released.
