On Wednesday at Laem Chabang City Group, the former Tourism and Sports Minister Mr. Sontaya Khunpleum opened the Songkran Festival of Laem Chabang.  April 11th has always been chosen to be the first day of Songkran Festival of Laem Chabang.   Buddhist ceremonies started to be conducted to welcome the Thai New Year 2555.  Local symbolic games like Bamboo Sticky Rice Eating Competition  and a traditional Thai Dancing Competition were among the activities put on for the public.

Hundreds of people gathered to obtain merit before the fun games and activities began.
