On Friday morning, the Pattaya Police Deputy Suppression Inspector Pol. Capt. Netitorn Rat-ta-na-su-cha-nan were called to investigate a snatching that happened at the top of Jomtien Soi 15.
At the location, a group of people had already apprehended Mr. Bandit Sreesuwan, aged 23, with the snatched 5 Baht-weight-gold chain with a Buddha image and the red Honda Wave motorcycle used in the theft. Mr. Bandit confessed that he was jailed once before for the same offence, and this time, he needed some money to enjoy Songkran. He saw his victim Mr. Suchawat Wong-pree-cha-gorn buying some food from a street vender, and it looked like a good chance for him to grab the gold.
Unfortunately for this thief, Mr. Suchawat managed to grab Mr. Bandit’s wrist and pull him off his motorcycle. Mr. Suchawat then kicked his motorcycle to the ground, and started shouting for help. Mr. Bandit suffered a minor injury, and was taken to the Dongtan Police Station for legal proceedings. There the police found an Arrest Warrant for him from March 2011 for a similar offence.
