Deaf Burglar Arrested After Stealing From Over Thirty Houses
A press conference was held on Friday evening by the Chonburi Police Commander Pol. Maj. Gen. Jamnong Ratanagoon, in companied by Banglamung Police Superintendent Pol. Col. Somneuk Jangaid and the Investigating and Suppressing Teams of Banglamung Police Station to publicize the success in closing the case of multiple burglaries in the Park Avenue Villas and surrounding areas. The offender was a deaf man, Mr. Weerasak Reuan-a-raam, aged 32, from Nong-pla-lai, Banglamung. The fellow was caught with 16 different stolen items, including electric appliances, Buddha images, music equipment and bicycles.
Mr. Weerasak was arrested along with 2 women Mrs. Daeng Jaantree, aged 63 and Mrs. Daeng’s daughter in law Miss Luckana Konpian, aged 22, however his associate Mr. Ting Jaantreee, aged 30, the son of Mrs. Daeng, is still on the run.
Over 30 victims asserted that Mr. Weerasak had broken into their houses and stolen from them. It turned out that Mr. Weerasak, even though he was born deaf, was the one who did the surveys and broke the locks, and Mr. Ting had the truck to load up all the stolen items. The stolen goods were delivered to his mother Mrs. Daeng, who would wait a while, then resell all the pilfered items. The whole gang of thieves face extensive legal proceedings, after more people to show up to identify them.
