On Tuesday, the Pattaya Police were notified of a shooting at the traffic light intersection by Moom Aroi restaurant, on Third Road, North Pattaya. The Police then rushed to the location with Sawang Boribbon rescue Volunteers.
Upon arriving, the officers found one .38mm bullet case on the road. The Police were informed that the 3 injured parties had already been sent to Banglamung hospital. The 3 victims were later identified as Mr.Tha-na-pong Poo-tha-na-koon (male), aged 21, who was shot 4 times in his abdomen, and was in serious condition. Mr. Nop-pa-dol Sook-sa-wat (male), aged 19, was shot on his left calf. Miss Wan-Wi-sa Pi-koon-kaew (female), aged 22, had a bullet clip her right ring finger.
The female victim told Police that before the shooting, she and her friends, with more than 10 people in her group, were spending the evening out at a pub on 3rd Road, in Central Pattaya. They were cheering for a foreign football club playing on the screen in the pub, and their loud and drunken voices provoked the 5-6 Thai men sitting next to them, who became very annoyed. This led to an argument in front of the pub’s bathroom, but later they sat down at their own table with no disturbances.
Afterwards, as they were riding back to their home in Naklua, the group of Thai men with whom they had a dispute at the pub followed them, and suddenly started to fire at them many times before fleeing the scene towards 3rd Road, Central Pattaya. After the interrogation and investigating the shooting scene, the Police made a report. However, further Police investigation will continue.
