On Wednesday, the Banglamung Police held a press conference to announce the arrest of drug dealer Mr. Wit-cha-nart Si-ri-chao-lert, aged 28. The man was caught with 1.7 kilograms of YA ICE, a 9mm. gun, a shotgun and ammunition. The Police also seized his HONDA JAZZ car.

Due to ongoing investigations, the police knew that there would be a delivery of drugs at the Soi near the old Heaven Disco, in Central Pattaya. At the appointed time, the officers saw the suspect driving a HONDA JAZZ to the location, and then receiving the drugs from an agent.  After that, the suspect drove his vehicle to his room on Soi Buakhao, so the police then gave chase and approached him. The officers searched inside his car and found YA ICE underneath the seat. The police then went to search in his room, and seized more drugs plus the weapons. The suspect pleaded guilty, and confessed to Police that an inmate called him and asked him to receive the YA ICE from an agent on the Soi near the Heaven disco. After he got the drugs, he could resell the contraband to customers in Pattaya, so he grabbed the chance to take delivery of the drugs, because most of police were concentrating on the people who were playing Songkran water games.

While the police were searching the suspect, another Thai fellow named Akk-ka-pong Boon-tha, aged 30, was seen acting suspiciously. Police then stopped him for searching and found an .9mm gun and bullets. After checking, officers found that the gun was registered. The man claimed that it was for self-defense purposes only. However, he was charged with carrying a gun in public without permission.
