On Thursday at the Nong-ket-yai Temple in Nongplalai, locals convened a Kongkhao ceremony. This annual observance is held during Songkran, and supported by the Village Headman Sao Lin-thong, and the Cultural Council of Nongplalai. General Plang-koon Kla-harn from the Thai Military officially opened the ceremony, which was also attended by many local dignitaries.

This event is an important tradition of the local villagers, and every year a different vehicle is provided for the procession of angels and devils. This year the vehicle full of angels and devils was a boat, sponsored by the Nova Platinum Hotel.
