On Friday, the Chonburi Police were notified of a newborn found abandoned in a trash can in front of the Song-see Dormitory on Soi ban-saun Su-ra-na-rong 20, Moo 3, in the Ban-suan Sub-district, opposite Ban-suan-u-dom-wit-ta-ya school. The Police then rushed to the location with recue squad volunteers.
Upon arrival, the officers discovered crowds of people surrounding the scene. The police also found a male newborn baby, and they estimated that death of the baby was quite recent, not less than 3 hours. The witnesses told Police that in the early morning they heard a scrap collector say that a dead body of a newborn was abandoned in the garbage bin, so they went to check, found the baby’s body and soon called the Police.
Police assume that the mother of the baby might be a industrial worker who had sex without protection, and after giving birth, then decided to abandon the child. However the Police investigations will continue.
