In the early hours of Monday morning Pattaya Police received a report of a shooting at a pub near Bali Hai pier. Police approached the Country Pub to find a lot of blood on the ground, but no bullet cases.  The male victim, later identified as 22 year old Mr. Somyod had died on the way to hospital.  He had been shot once in the chest.  The man’s brother was at the hospital to make a statement.   He stated that after visiting a concert at the music festival, they decided to stop and have a drink at the pub.  After a while two men arrived on a motorcycle and for some unknown reason one man pulled out a gun and fired it at Somyod.  Police believe the incident is gang related and a full investigation is now under way.
