On Monday at 10pm, the Pattaya Police received notification that young Thai man, riding on motorcycle with no license plate, escaped from the police on Jomtien’s 2nd road, heading towards Thepprasit Rd.. Police officers as well as police volunteers quickly spread out to block the route of the suspicious fellow. But he managed to escape another check point, as he was driving his bike at high speed.. More than 10 police and volunteers then gave close chase to the suspect, until he arrived at Soi Sabaijai Village in Central Pattaya. The suspicious Thai man then decided to abandon his vehicle and ran away into the village. Police then surrounded the location and searched for the man. A Short time later, the officers arrested a man, known only as Jack, age 20, who earns his living as a welder. The man stated that he did not commit any crime, but tried to escape the search at the checkpoint because he had consumed YABA earlier that day, and was afraid of being arrested. He was then taken to the Police station for further investigation.
