In the early hours of Friday morning Pattaya police were notified by the Sawang Boriboon Rescue team about a road accident on Sukhumvit Road.  At the scene near the Caltex petrol station in South Pattaya, they came across a young man and woman being given first aid before being sent to the hospital for further treatment.  They had been riding a motorcycle and got involved in a collision with a van.  Both vehicles were at the scene. The driver of the van stated that he was on his way to Bangkok when the bike came out of a side road towards him at speed, causing them to crash into each other.  A report was made of the incident and further investigations follow.
