On Tuesday, as there have been many robbery and snatching cases in the Nongkam area, mostly at convenience stores like 7-Eleven, Family Mart, Lotus Express and 108 Shops, the store owners were advised by the police to install CCTV cameras and alarms to alert the officers. The employees were urged to keep track of the store’s merchandise, and watch for suspicious behavior of customers, which could indicate criminal activity going on. The police hope to reduce the crime rates in the area during this expensive cost of living period. The officers have also been assigned a strict rotation to check on these targets for theft.
