On Thursday morning Deputy Provincial Police Commander Police Colonel Supatee Boonkrong held a meeting at Banglamung police station to discuss about the rise in motorcycle theft around Chonburi Province. Apparently, the Eastern Seaboard experiences one of the highest levels of auto theft in Thailand, and therefore police are preparing to reverse this trend as soon as possible. Attending the meeting were senior officers from all over the province who were there to discuss the problem and how to solve it. Figures were released that from the start of the year, 500 motorcycles with a combined value of 20 million baht have been stolen and the cases remain unsolved.
