Unregistered Abattoir Tracked Down by Bad Odors

On Saturday, the Banglamung Police, in cooperation with Nongprue Municipality, investigated a slaughterhouse in Khao Talo, after receiving various complaints about bad odors being emitted every day, as well as untreated waste water in the neighborhood. This was causing very poor sanitation in the area, and the police and municipality officials found many animal heads on the premises.

The manager, Mr. Gareem Pleekan, aged 28, was apprehended, as he was unable to produce the proper license to the police. The Deputy Mayor of Nongprue In charge of Public Health, Mr. Suwat Ra-cha-ta-wa-ta-na-goon, will make further inspections, to be sure the slaughterhouse is legally registered, and proper sanitation techniques are employed, for the safety of all residents in the area.
