On Tuesday at 7:30 am, the Pattaya Police Investigating Inspector Pol. Lt. Tanarit Teeranuwat were summoned to investigate the death of a motorcycle driver in Soi Bongkot, South Pattaya, and the Sawang Boriboon Rescue Team was also called to help.
At the scene, the body of a man, identified later as Mr. Apichart Duang-pat-cha, aged 25 from Udonthani province, was found killed instantly, with his skull split open and his brains spread across the road. An orange Honda Click motorcycle was found lying on the road near a parked 6 wheel truck, with no sign of the driver.
The witnesses stated that Mr. Apichart was seen driving like he was drunk, and trying to overtake a 6 wheel truck on the left side of the small road. Passing on the left is contrary to traffic laws, as well as very dangerous, and he lost control and ran into a sign hanging from an electric pole, and spilled the bike.
The truck was unable to stop in time, and ran over him, causing him to die instantly. A group of friends of Mr. Apichart approached the scene, and confirmed that Mr. Apichart was drunk and on his way to buy more alcohol.
The truck was found to belong to LK Ltd, so the police will locate the responsible person at LK to take responsibility for this accident, and to locate the driver, known by his nickname as Mr. Sing, in order to bringing him to justice.
