On Wednesday, Nongkam police set up a road checkpoint in a well known area of the town to inspect vehicles, check licenses and search suspicious looking motorists for drugs.   The occasion pulled in three people all caught with yaba tablets and marijuana.  Two motorcycles were impounded as the drivers failed to show any ownership details or licenses.  All were invited to Nongkam police station for further questioning.
