Over Twenty Prostitutes Arrested By Pattaya Police
On Thursday at 11: 30 pm, the Pattaya Police Deputy Suppressing Inspector Pol. Lt. Wisanu Chaisuwan led a team of police and police volunteers patrolled the beach from North Pattaya to Walking Street and on down to Jomtien Beach.
The Operation’s goal was to suppress prostitution on the beach, for safety of all tourists and for the peace of the residents.
The Beach Prostitutes, who have recently acquired the nickname of "Coconut Ghosts", saw 22 of their Coconut Ghosts apprehended. They were fined 100 baht each, recorded for a Minor Crime and freed with warnings from the police.
