Pattaya police were called out on Sunday to investigate an accident that had occurred at the notorious black spot at the Hanuman statue on the new Jomtien Second Road. At the scene, a black Toyota Fortuner was seen crashed into a government sign on the footpath. Mr. Pramote, the driver, claimed that a motorcycle cut in front of him as he was heading towards Pattaya, causing him to lose control and steer onto the footpath. A report was made and he was asked to go to the police station to accept the charge of damaging government property and be responsible for the cost of repairs.
