On Friday morning, Tourist Police together with officers from the Canada Border Services Agency announced about the imminent arrest of a man and his gang, wanted for producing and selling forged passports. The suspect is an Iranian named Ramin. Officers searched his room in the Nirun Grand Condos in Central Pattaya to find computers and equipment to make forged passports. This led to a further search at a residential building in Nongprue where other gang members, believed to be Iranians have been using to produce fake passports and selling them over the internet. Police believe that the gang may be connected to the Iranian bomb suspect in Bangkok last February. The investigation continues.
