On Sunday, Superintendent Pol. Col. Somkid Sin-bua-tong held a press conference at the Borwin Police Station, to announce the outcome of a case of Defamation. Mrs. Panadda Siriboon, aged 59 and her daughter Miss Wanida, aged 32 were apprehended for posting slandering statements on the AS TV Webpage and Manager On Line website that insulted the Deputy Commissioner of the Royal Thai Police Bureau, Region 2, Pol. Maj. Gen. Anan Ja-rern-cha-tree.

When the 2 women were caught, the mother claimed that her daughter was not mentally stable, and mistook the face of the Pol. Maj. Gen. for someone else. the daughter Miss Wanida used the mobile phone of Mrs. Panadda to send the posts to websites, and so the police managed to trace the phone call and apprehend them in Sriraket province.

The Deputy Commissioner did not intend to press charges, and the women apologized to the police before being taken for legal proceedings.�
